"There is nothing in Italy, more beautiful to me, than the coast" Exploring Genoa (Genova)

I took a UNESCO tour, which covered a few blocks of the city. Unfortunately, it does not appear that Genoa has the resources to build themselves up again from what was destroyed in previous wars. Shocking, I know. If you're going to Genoa, be prepared for a LOT of climbing. And make sure to bring snacks and water if you're there in the summer. Because of train delays I was wandering Genoa in the August heat on an empty stomach. After climbing stairs which felt like climbing Mt Everest, I thought I was going to either throw up or pass out.

I wish I had more time to explore the city. But if you have - please tell me about your explorations!
