"There is no world without Verona walls..." Exploring Verona

Verona is a small city which makes checking everything out in a day pretty easy. I recommend checking out the following spots:

  • Arena

    • If you're coming to the arena, definitely recommend coming during the summer when they're performing operas. They do a different opera every night and surrounding the arena is all the set pieces they bring in and out of the arena by crane every day. For a theater nerd like me, it's an incredible experience.

  • Juliet Balcony

    • I would go first thing in the morning when it opens or not at all, especially during the summer. Otherwise, it becomes so crowded you can't even see the statue.

  • The Market

    • It's a tourist hot spot for shopping for I <3 Verona things and leather bags. There's a lot of pieces of history throughout the market, and would recommend doing a tour for a guide to point this out to you.

  • Mazzini Street

    • If you want to shop luxury brands, this is the place to do your shopping! This is also the street that's going to connect you from the Arena to the Juliet Balcony.

  • Castle San Pietro

    • If you want to go someplace where you can get great views of the city, go here!

  • Giusti Garden

    • Have not personally been able to visit, but have been told the gardens are really beautiful.

  • Scaligier Tombs

    • A place with really different, strange, yet cool history worth visiting.
