"Good food is like music you can taste" Eating in Disneyland Paris and Paris
I want to start this off by saying, the staff at Disneyland Paris was incredibly accommodating and willing to help where they could. But, I did not have the same experience that I have had at Disney World in Florida. To be fair, Disneyland Paris did the above and beyond in comparison to most restaurants, Disney World just set a crazy expectation when it comes to their other properties.
For activities, I would live by their app, but the restaurants section (at the time I went) only showed Vegetarian/Vegan options, but did not show which places had gluten free options. If I went to a buffet, someone would come out and show me which foods were okay, but they did take me through incredibly fast where it was difficult to keep up and I just had to hope I remembered when I put food on my plate. Granted, they went above and beyond in comparison to anywhere else I've gone. But Disney World the chef comes out and treats you like you're the only customer. I have never been to Disneyland in California, so this makes me more motivated to go and check out and compare the experiences.
Here are some places I was able to eat at for my 2 days and 2 nights in Disneyland Paris:
Every morning at Breakfast for my hotel, Hotel Sante Fe, upon request I was able to get gluten free bread and other gluten free breakfast options.
Walt's Restaurant (in the park)
Cape Cod (in a hotel)
Au Chalet de la Marionnette
The Steakhouse (in Disney Village)
the waiter here was the most difficult and kept telling me no and then coming back and making my requests work. It was a bizarre uncomfortable experience.
IN PARIS:
LouLou
I attempted to speak French here and the waitress I had was so kind and willing to try and let me learn. The streotype is usually the French are annoyed with you either way for trying and not trying. But that was not my experience here! I had great cheese nachos and took the dessert to go! It ended up being my breakfast the next morning...
