"Food is not rational. (It's) culture, habit, craving and identity." Eating in Edinburgh

I read on another blog for travelers with celiac that Edinburgh was the best place they found for eating gluten free. After going to Edinburgh, I tend to agree. There wasn't a restaurant I went into where they didn't have a good understanding of celiac and the requirements needed for me to eat safely. Every restaurant also had options.

  • Argyle Place

    • We stopped in to grab a small lunch and this coffee shop did just the trick! The staff was incredibly friendly and the food was good!

  • The Safari Lounge

    • It was a different kind of vibe. Be prepared to be there for quite a bit of time. I had tacos which had a bit of a kick to them (for me) but overall really good!

  • Greenwoods

    • The breakfast options mainly revolve around eggs. But I tried their Egg Florentine and it was truly delicious. It's always nice being able to have gluten free hollandaise sauce!

  • Lucken Booths

    • They have a gluten free menu here. Got to have their soup and a salad. Wasn't a huge fan of how it tasted, but worth for people to check out because again... there were OPTIONS.
