Exploring "Venice is eternity itself"

Venice is a place you can walk around for hours and never get lost. There's not a lot of must see specific landmarks. I do recommend going on a tour (I usually use GetYourGuide) to hear about the history of the city, because that is equally as fascinating as the city.

The first time I went to Venice I let people talk me out of doing a gondola ride because it was "too touristy". But this time, my mother and I took one and we had a lot of fun! The guys that we were with did not sing as you would typically see in the movies, but it was still a fun experience. And for the love of all that is holy, please do not step on the edge of the boat as you get in/out of it. Step into the boat, or onto the dock, not the edge. Don't be that guy that tips the boat over. (I've seen it happen, but that's another story for another time.)

A must see landmark would be St Mark's Basilica. I've never been inside, and apparently there's no need to go inside, but it definitely is a cool site to see.

If you want to a city to get lost and go shopping in, definitely recommend Venice as a day to not have any plans and do...well...what I just said...
