"A diverse blend of different dishes" Eating in Bucharest

  • Ergo was a really great restaurant, especially when I was sick. They offered gluten free soups and had a delivery service. I also went in person and the food was just as good, if not better than when it was being delivered!

  • I was spending Thanksgiving alone and made a reservation at this fancy restaurant. The staff was lovely. I will say, if you're doing the long tasting menu especially, be prepared to be there for over 3 hours. I only got 3/4 through the long tasting menu (and they brought my dessert all at once) and I was there for 2 1/2 hours. I was exhausted and falling asleep at the table during a long day, so I had to leave early. It is authentic Romanian food and nothing that touches your plate isn't from Romania. There were a lot of dishes I normally wouldn't have tried, but I did and they were surprisingly really good!

  • I have this thing that when I go to a bakery I order everything that looks interesting to me, and then I use each baked good as my breakfast until I run out. At this 100% gluten free bakery, I did what I had to do!!! The lovely woman at the bakery didn't understand English, and I didn't understand Romanian. So we had a fun time pointing at things, and communicating through hand gestures. We were cracking up the entire time! Everything I had here from this bakery was so incredibly good as well!!

  • Aubergine was a restaurant I was overall not super impressed with food quality wise. For the menu, they handed me an iPad and showed me that I could click on a gluten free filter to see the options I could have. Unfortunately the filter didn't work. But I ordered the lamb chops. They were fine and ultimately everyone there seemed to be enjoying their food!

  • Unfortunately, I think I got glutened at this restaurant. There seems to be a lot of cross contamination. Hopefully this was just a rare experience, but I was feeling very nauseous and sick after eating there.

  • This wasn't the greatest pasta I've ever had, but it definitely filled me up. I loved being able to watch the chef make my meal in this quaint, Italian restaurant.

  • It's a 100% gluten free bakery in Bucharest. I was disappointed I didn't have more options. (Mainly, just upset I couldn't have a cinnamon roll.) But so far in the options I've had it's been really good!
